Pretty Pillion stepped out of her comfort zone once more to great success. Since it is just the two of us to feed this year, we went small. The ham is as plain as it gets. She made the glaze with honey, brown sugar, mustard and vinegar. It turned out so much better than the honey baked hams that cost you new Harley Parts.
The candied yams are different that most make; no marshmallows. She doesn't like them and being a diabetic, I do not need them either. (I'll blow my sugar budget on the pecan pie later). She used Korean Sweet Potatoes which are yellow vice the orange color we usually see in the grocery stores here. She also cut back on the brown sugar at my request. The flavor turned out amazingly delicious.
Now the chicken macaroni salads on the left is one of her specialties so nothing new there. It is by far though one of the best tasting macaroni dishes I have ever had.
And of course, one skips the morning after scales...
