The sun is indeed out in SE Texas. Just finished mowing the yard (first of 2023), weeds growing everywhere and general mayhem in the yard and gardens..

I hope this little ditty from 1966 helps you out a little. Jimmy Page played lead guitar. This is the album "long version". The song was trimmed to a bit over 3 minutes for radio play back in those days.

This is comes to my mind first when thinking about "Waiting for the Sun"

While I’ve always loved most all pre-Beatles rock and roll, Carl Perkins to Motown and all the music in between. Fact was I constantly bugged my parents to buy me a new transistor radio - big as size 10 shoe, and never ceased to bother them with it. My wife and I both love music, but can’t carry a tune or play a lick, despite trying.
But back to the music I play in the garage, usually from radio tuned to oldies station, and I like them all, But I stop everything when “Born to be Wild“ by Steppenwolf plays - then I need to ask myself why I’m not on my bike blasting down the highway, while playing my air guitar! I’ll bet you do too.

Here’s Born to be Wild song from Easy Rider clip - featuring Peter Fonda rip, Dennis Hopper (directed the film), Jack Nicholson in one his early movies and some other random guy. If you’ve never seen it - enjoy…if you’ve seen the movie, I bet you’ll enjoy seeing the clip, if not the whole movie again.

These kids are friends of my oldest son. Local Niagara Falls band called JIN. They have all swam in my pool, drank my beer, eaten my burgers, and beat me at corn hole. Nicole, lead guitar and singer is incredibly talented. They are one of those bands who is best live. They are in studio recording their second album at the moment and I look forward to that. They cover Zeppelin, blues, and funk. You can hear the classic blues in this, one of their first originals.
