Numbness

259 Views 9 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  Rebel
I rode my bike 25 miles and completely cut off circulation to my bits.

It worse than last year when it happened after longer rides, +100 miles.

Any one else having this issue?

I'm thinking I need to remove some foam from the seat at critical areas.

Is this a new ride or a new sensation?

If a new sensation, maybe talk to the doctor first and see if you ruined something down there.

I haven't ridden this bike in this configuration for years, so it's kind of new. I had a bobber seat on it before (no padding) with no problems. Now I have the stock seat back on.

Last year I had a 500cc Rebel and had the same issue.

Years ago I had the same issue with my pedal bike.

I'll ask the doc, thanks.

Maybe you should reposition those 'bits' higher than just letting things land where they may .
I find that sometimes I'm very close to sitting on things that shouldn't be sat on and those things get 'noticed' .
I simply make an adjustment and all is well . ;)

I put BeadRiders on my bikes. I did this mainly for summer riding as they help keep my dry down there. The other benefit is they allow me to get a circulatory massage as I do those 10–12-hour rides. Maybe look into this for some relief.

I had a similar issue. Pants were too tight. They were fine when off the bike but the riding position and sliding down the seat slightly over time cut off circulation to the twins. Boxers is the way to go.

As mentioned above, it is always a good bet to check with your doctor, even just to rule it out.

I got one of these seat cushions and it seems to help. Little Rebel is running great after being off the road for the past 2 years.

I've been waiting to see when someone will crack a joke here but so far it hasn't happened. This sure is a classy place, this is. I don't know whether to feel uplifted or disappointed. :D

Big cahones are nothing to laugh about, I sometimes get one rolled up under my body and when leaning forward am reminded not to do that ! ! !
