Seeing pics of members bikes and seeing comments like" I had one of those & loved it!" I am wondering what our members would want to see brought back to production. We are keeping the basic style and sentiment of the original bike intact but may ad some simple updates.

I'll start the ball rolling. Let me know if you have ridden one of these, I bet most have. Yamaha DT-1 Enduro series. This is the 60cc, I would like to see the 175 or 250 brought back. Lets give it street legal lights & a starter but we will keep the kick start just for fun.

I will think of many more, but my first request is to bring back the VMAX! Even though I know many of its limitations firsthand, I love that pure rush of acceleration! Mine was a 2006 so just before the second generation came out. I do enjoy the 2nd gen bikes as well but that first gen rules in my mind.

I never got to ride one, just loved the sound & knew they were beastly powerful. I am going to guess handling was an issue? What would you change? Small geometry changes and upgraded shock internals would make a world of difference. Were you running cruiser tires or sport touring at the time?

I added 4 into 1 exhaust, pods and rejet. Made great power. I did add steering damper, that fixed high speed wobble. I put a bullet type fairing on it like I have on the Vulcan now. Wow, you really have me remembering how much I liked that bike.

I had the stock tire on the front and a newish rear tire at the time of the mishap.

It handling was indeed a bit of work to manage. It has an engineering flaw of decelerating headshake from 35 to 25mph. Ina straight line, no worries, just use both hands. Mine hit me leaned over to the left in a curve.

Another bike I would love to see brought back is the Triumph Rocket III Touring. Triumph no longer has a big cruiser style bike; this discontinued it in 2018. They do offer a lighter naked sport bike with a 2.5-liter engine (original was only 2,3L), but the new bike in either Roadster or GT form are not cruisers.
I have ridden both the R3R and R3GT and holy snap they are fun. But I need a cruiser for my long-distance travels. It is a tad tougher to load the new R3s like this road trip to Sturgis,

Just for my own selfish nostalgia I would love to see the early Kawasaki Z1's, especially the '75 Z1-B. I owned several but never got to ride that many miles for one reason or the other. I would love to get some seat time in today just to see if my memories have been embellished with the passage of time or if it really was that much fun to ride. I remember loving what few miles I managed to put on them, especially the 1st one which I bought brand new with 0 miles on the clock. Unfortunately, it was totaled just before I got 1000 on in it, in stage 3 of the break in process. Was actually in the process of riding the I-610 loop around Houston (before the loop was completely finished and before it became the insane asylum that it is now) to finish the break in and with plans to open her all the way up on the final leg home.

I can't find any pictures of mine but I still love the way the machine looked even to this day. Film and developing were a luxury back in those days......at least for me.

Honda Nighthawk 700S.
I love these mid eighties Nighthawks and this is the best of them all. Honda didn't skimp on these bikes. All the bits and pieces are high quality, with some nice touches such as shaft drive and a digital gear indicator. They're super low maintenance, fast and fun. The 700 also has a quasi coffin tank and black chrome (!) exhaust system

I had a '72 LT2 100 that I bought brand new when I was 14. Later I had a '73 CT3 175. They were both strong runners. Dirt Bike Magazine (anyone remember Super Hunky?) once said that these two stroke Yammies had the ability to rev where other engines would melt. I can attest to that. The reed valve models of '72 onward also built power practically off idle. I could putt along on the 175, just off idle, whack the throttle open and ride off on a wheelie. It was also a pretty fun hill climber.
Man, I loved those bikes. The only drawback was the dreaded Yamahop. If you impacted the front wheel on a bump they would jump into the air and pogo back and forth with increasing severity, until they spit you over the handlebars. The 175 tossed me at about 40 mph as I was racing a friend. Good times:).

CB 750F!!
Took my wife on our first date on one. I also had a 900F and 1100F. The 750 was just balanced better. My wife still compares all bikes to that one.

I'd add the 400F to that list, even if it was only for the reason that it takes the title for "Best Factory Exhaust of All Time". Soichiro, how we miss you.

Ah yes, the Yamahop. When your bike suddenly becomes a mechanical bull. I do recall now.

Recently the You Tube channel "Bikes and Beards" bought one of these brand new, never out of the crate. If they haven't sold it yet, there's your chance to buy a brand new one. They also bought a Yamaha SR500, still in the crate. My brother still has the SR500 he bought back in the eighties.
I saw that episode too. So envious.
