I came across the article below and it got me thinking. There are 12 riders listed here but some undoubtedly have merit to be on this list. Steve McQueen and Guy Martin are icons to me is Joey Dunlop and they were all accounted for. Who did you expect and who would you add?

Additions for me would be Bert Lawwill and Malcom Smith - two who were my heroes while I was a lad. I'd also have Kevin Schwantz and Wayne Rainey.

OK, here is one many have not heard of but as far as being World Champion he is likely the most dominating athlete in the history of sport. ANY sport.

Not sure how many here have ridden Trials but it is a very technical sport. There are both indoor and outdoor competitions and the bikes are now very sophisticated. This guy is the GOAT. Toni Bou is a Spanish rider who has been the riegning Worl Champion both indoor and outdoor since 2007. Yes, 2007. That is a 16 year winning streak.

Here is a short video of him fooling around.

Yeah. I can't fathom the balance. When you see those "slow" races at bike meets remember these guys could just sit still at the starting line almost indefinitely. There was another video I saw of a guy doing trials right in his house. It may have been Toni but I don;t remeber. He went everywhere, including getting dressed. Insane.

Malcolm Smith and Kenny Roberts as @Tinsnips points out and Marc Marquez must also be included. Too good for too long not to mention. Poor guy can't stay out of the hospital lately it seems, Father Time may have finally caught up to him.

Wow. This is an incredibly complex question that deserves to be pondered carefully. With all due consideration, and after a thoroughly exhausting examination of the facts, I am absolutely convinced that the Greatest Motorcycle Rider Of All Time is...
Me, of course. Who else would it be? Ha!
